What if "the hokey pokey" is REALLY what it's all about?
-- Curtis Spencer

Think about that...it's crazy, huh?

Romans 12:2 says..."And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

Do you ever feel like you know what God wants you to do with your life? It's like there is something that just weighs on your heart and it just feels like something is pulling at you? I've really been feeling that way for a while now. I just feel like I want to give up everything now and go to Honduras. But, at the same time, according to "society's" standards I should finish school and all that crap. When that's really not what I want to do, but it's what I feel like I should do. But, I definately feel like I need to be in Honduras...and that's where I feel like God wants me to be. It's indescribable how I feel about it. Like, when I think about it...I literally ache because I want to be there so bad. I mean, is that just me wanting to go or is it really God pulling my heart in that direction? I don't know...I mean, I feel like that's where He wants me but how do I know for sure? I do however still have 2 more years of school left. I don't know if I can wait that long. I know I'm gonna go for a month next summer, though...but that seems so far away. I just feel like this verse in Romans is really calling to me right now.

2. Daily Obedience to Christ - "Then He said to them all: 'If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.'" - Luke 9:23...Every day, commit yourself to obeying God and His Word.

3. Daily Bible Reading - "...they...examined the Scriptures every day..." - Acts 17:11...Spend time every day reading God's Word.

4. Daily Prayer - "...give us today our daily bread." - Matthew 6:11...Devote time every day talking to God in prayer.

5. Daily Fellowship - "...encourage one another daily..." - Hebrews 3:13...Get involved with your local church, and seek regular fellowship with other Christians.

6. Daily Witnessing - "Day after day...they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ." - Acts 5:42...Tell others about Jesus Christ every day through your words and actions.

7. Daily Praise - "Seven times a day I praise you." - Psalm 119:164...Praise God every day for who He is and what He has done.

I went on the youth retreat at our church this weekend and we had an awesome time! Anyone that went would probably agree. There was a group called Challenge Point who was there and we did a lot of "team building" exercises. It was so much fun! And it was very uplifting and encouraging. I just want to encourage everyone to go out this week and spread the news about Jesus! And if you have trouble doing that, just live like a christian should live and show everyone that there IS something different about you! Hope everyone has a great week! God Bless!

So...we started back at Reeves Rogers this week! I am working with a 2nd grade teacher, a 1st grade teacher, and all the kindergarten teachers! I think it's gonna be a good year at work this year. Well, I also quit the YMCA b/c they put me at a different school this year and expected me to drive an hour to get there...Yea Right!!! Not for 6 hours a week! That's not even gas money! So...I just quit on Tuesday. But, I am gonna substitute teach at RR some this year...so that will be some extra money. I've been doing really good on my eating. I've been eating really healthy and we've been working out almost everyday! So...hopefully this 15 lbs. will be GONE by Christmas! Well, anyways...hope eveyone has a wonderful weekend! God Bless!

Mrs. Eddy is gonna get with us a few times and only speak Spanish...so that will be good. Mrs. Eddy is awesome! Oh, by the way...this is a picture of Juan. He is my future husband(haha Rachel and Suzi). He is gorgeous! I don't have to work at all this week...it's been so nice to be able to sleep in! I'm lovin it! But, anyways...well that's all for now! Hope everyone's having a great week! God Bless!
